Come down to the Busselton Foreshore, where there is plenty to see and do. The foreshore is another terrific beach along the sparkling blue waters of Geographe Bay, where you can bring the whole family to swim in the shallow, calm waters. Do you have a keen sense of adventure? If so, head to Forest Adventures and take on their high ropes course. There are 6 courses to challenge yourself on, all high up in the treetops. Strap yourself in, and don't look down as you balance, climb and make your way through the tracks. There are flying foxes where you'll soar among the trees and a range of other tasks to make your way through to complete the course. Better yet, bring your friends and stand against each other to see who can complete the course best. Forest Adventures high ropes course takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
Visit a Brewery
There's nothing more refreshing than an ice-cold brew on a hot summer day. If you love all things beer, then visit a brewery while you're in Busselton. There are some great breweries in the area, including Rocky Ridge Brewing Co., a local hotspot located a short walk from Busselton Jetty. Here, you will find up to 25 taps of delicious craft beers with something for everyone. Sample some of the sublime craft beers on offer and pair them with a salty snack on their mouth-watering menu. Another wonderful brewery in Busselton is Shelter Brewing Co., located at the foot of the jetty. Shelter Brewing Co. is a beautiful spot to sip a cold brew and watch the sunset over the water.
Busselton Jetty
The Busselton Jetty is an icon of Busselton and a must-visit. You won't be short of things to do with everything from diving experiences to breweries, all within walking distance. Starting up top is the Shelter Brewing Co., where you can sip a cold brew and take in the bay views. Next, there is a wheelchair-accessible solar-powered train ride that takes guests along the jetty, which includes an audio history of the 158-year-old jetty. Following this is the Underwater Observatory, where you can purchase a 45-minute tour of the 8 metre deep underwater observatory to see some of the 300 species of marine life that live under the jetty. This observatory is one of six natural aquariums in the world. And finally, you can also purchase an all-day snorkelling pass that allows you to dive under the jetty and see the sea creatures living under the jetty up close.
Bike Ride Through Busselton
One great thing about Busselton is that the streets are primarily flat. That means they are great for bike riding! Grab your bike and explore the stunning Busselton scenery. Or, if you don't have a bike handy, hire one from Busselton Bike Hire and start your bike-riding adventure from there. One fantastic ride takes you from Busselton all the way to Dunsborough via a mostly paved track following the path along the foreshore. This ride is approximately 28 km one way. Another terrific ride is from the foreshore path to Port Geographe Marina. This ride is about 4.8 km and is better suited for less experienced riders. Both rides offer lovely views of the coastline and turquoise waters.
Coastal and Wildlife Eco Tour
Make the most of your trip to Busselton with a half-day wildlife tour around the region. Departing in the morning, you'll spend 3.5 hours touring the area and learning about wildlife from a knowledgeable guide. The tour delivered by South West Eco Discoveries takes guests on an informational jam-packed excursion. Some highlights include beautiful panoramic views of Geographe Bay, Meelup Regional Park, and Ngari Marine Park, where you'll see a live-action underwater camera displaying wildlife under the waves. From here, you'll venture onto Bunker Bay, where you'll see the spectacular cliffs at Cape Naturaliste. You'll have the opportunity to spot dolphins, whales and wildflowers before enjoying a tasty platter of local produce and a nice glass of wine at Sugarloaf Rock. This is a fantastic tour that the whole family will enjoy.
