Kings Park and Botanic Garden
Kings Park is one of the largest inner city parks in the world. While two-thirds of the 400-hectare park is protected bushland, this enormous park isn’t short on things to do. Climb the spiralling DNA Tower for beautiful panoramic views, rent a bike for a ride, walk one of the many trails, see the wildflowers, and even enjoy some retail therapy inside the Gallery shop. Kings Park is also home to the Botanical Gardens, which displays over 3,000 of Western Australia’s unique flora.

Soak up the Sun at Cottesloe Beach
Cottesloe Beach is one of Perth’s most iconic locations and a popular swimming spot. Just a quick 15-minute drive from the city, you can swim, snorkel, surf, and enjoy the sun on a pristine beach. Visit Fremantle
A 30-minute drive from Perth’s city lies Fremantle, a vibrant port city well known for its maritime history. While here, you can wander through the Fremantle markets, tour the Fremantle Prison, and see the WA Maritime Museum or the WA Shipwrecks Museum. Or, if that’s not your speed, wind down and sample some craft beer at one of the many microbreweries in the area.

Perth Zoo
The Perth Zoo is home to many animals and plants from around the world. Sit in on one of the free keeper talks or get up close and personal with one of the close encounters on offer. From giraffes to elephants, red pandas to penguins, or even an early morning savannah walk, the zoo is the perfect place to experience these animals up close.
Elizabeth Quay
Experience the waterfront precinct on the banks of the Swan River. It is easily accessible via public transport or a walk from the CBD. There’s much to do here with the BHP Billiton Water Park, segways, public art, Little Ferry Co., Gondola on the Swan, promenades and a range of trendy bars and restaurants.
Bell Tower
One of the most unique experiences in Perth is the Bell Tower. Overlooking the picturesque Swan River, the Bell Tower is home to 12 bells of St Martins in the Fields, one of London’s most famous churches. These bells date back to the 14th century, and if you come at the right time, you can hear them ring.
