Learn the History of Henry Kendall
Discover a diverse range of contemporary and traditional artworks from local and international artists. A renowned Australian poet, Henry Kendall, lived in this Gosfrodian cottage for a year in 1873. He was taken in by the Fagan family - a family that made significant contributions to Gosford through agriculture and business, when he arrived in Gosford in poor health. Henry Kendall wrote over 300 poems during this time. Just over a decade later, the historical museum was opened to celebrate and remember the memorabilia of the past. The historical museum curates a new special exhibition seasonally, so even if you have been here before, there is always something new to discover! Set across two and a half acres, the grounds boast peaceful surroundings and picnic facilities such as barbeques and picnic tables.
