Getting started with KINTO is easy!

1. Download the car hire app from the Apple Store or Google Play.

2. Select 'Register' and follow the prompts to create an account with your details.

3. Submit your application with your driver's license, payment information and a selfie for verification.

4. If approved, you can start booking your first ride.  

Approval is an essential step of the process. We take the time to verify your details for a smooth and secure experience. This section of the application takes between 3 - 24 hours, so be sure to allow ample time to apply so you can secure the dates you need.

How to use the KINTO app

Navigating the KINTO app is simple. Whether you're booking your first ride, managing your trip on the go, or just wanting an app walk-through, we'll take you through the key features so you can confidently navigate the app, find vehicles near you and hit the roads in no time.

Here's a rundown:

After signing in, the KINTO app opens on the main page, where you can easily find a vehicle, search by location, including your current location, and create a booking. We'll revisit this function below and guide you through the booking process.

To access the remaining app features, select the three lines (hamburger icon) at the top left of the screen to expand the main menu.

At the top, we have Book a Journey, which will return you to the main booking page that we began on. This is handy if you're exploring the app's features and need to return to the main page.

Next is My Bookings – here, you'll find all your upcoming bookings and any previous bookings you have made with KINTO. You can also manage your current journey and extend the booking from here.

To exit the page and return to the main menu, select the hamburger icon at the top left-hand side of the screen, and you're back to where we started.

On the My Account page, you'll find the information about your driving licence and payment card you uploaded at the application stage. Here, you can also add any private membership details, see pending payments, cancel your membership, or, of course, log out.

Moving on to the Vouchers page. Here, you can add and manage any vouchers on your account. To add a voucher, click Add a voucher and input the voucher number.

The next page is Promo Codes – keep an eye out for special offers and promotions that might discount your ride. If you have a promo code you'd like to redeem on a ride, select Add Promo Code, input the code and select Add. Valid promo codes will be automatically applied to your next applicable invoice.

  2. To find a vehicle, either search through the map or by location to see what is in the area.
  3. Alternatively, select Book Now.
  4. Add your pick-up date and time, then your drop-off date and time, and you'll have a narrowed-down selection of which vehicles are available when you need them.
  5. Select your chosen rental vehicle and follow the prompts to complete your booking.

Need more time? Easily modify your booking through the app. In your current journey, you'll have clear options to Extend the booking (so long as your vehicle has not been booked) if needed or End booking if you're finished using your KINTO.

Steps for easily fueling your KINTO car share vehicle

When it comes time to fuel, visit your nearest petrol station and grab the fuel card located in the car to process payment on us!*** The PIN for the fuel card is displayed in the Current Journey screen of your KINTO app Re-fuelling is included at no extra cost. What a win!
